The Alienware Aurora 2019 is the perfect gaming computer for the gamers out there that want both power and portability in their laptop. It’s got an Intel Core i7 processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 with 8GB of video memory, an SSD drive, and can be packed into its own carry case when it’s time to go on the road with you. Let’s take a closer look at what makes this so special.
Cool design
The Alienware Aurora 2019 looks amazing, thanks to its slim profile and sleek black-and-white finish. It’s powerful too, packing an impressive 16 GB of RAM alongside a 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 9700K processor. This setup delivers seamless performance for ultra-high-definition gaming, allowing you to take your games to new levels of realism. In addition, it includes great connectivity options such as two USB 3.1 ports (Type A) and four USB 3.0 ports. For storage, it comes with a 256 GB solid-state drive (SSD).
Amazing display
The Alienware Aurora 19 offers a 4K display with a refresh rate of 60Hz. While 4K is still somewhat rare in gaming desktops, it’s definitely something to brag about if you have it. I really enjoyed playing games on it and found that even in first-person shooters I had a much better view of my surroundings than on my 1080p monitor. If you aren’t looking for a 4K display and just want something big and crisp, don’t worry—the Alienware Aurora 2019 still has an FHD 60Hz display available as well.
Specs that match similarly priced laptops
The Alienware Aurora 2019 Edition is one of a few machines out there to include Intel’s 10th-generation processors. Thanks to these chips, you can expect a faster setup and better overall performance than you would on competing gaming laptops. Additionally, it comes with 32GB of RAM, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti graphics card, a 512GB SSD for storage, and a 1TB HDD for secondary files. It also offers two Thunderbolt 3 ports (USB-C), which let you quickly connect your laptop to a monitor or transfer data from flash drives. Finally, there are also plenty of ports like USB 3.0 and Ethernet for those who prefer plugging in wired peripherals or an ethernet cable instead of Wi-Fi.
Value for the price
The Alienware Aurora 2019 is a great value for its price. It doesn’t have some of the fancy bells and whistles that its more expensive competitors have, but it has everything you need to play games at high-quality settings in 1080p or even 1440p resolution. The performance is solid, and you’ll find that most of your games run at 60 frames per second or higher—though we’ve found some AAA titles like Dark Souls 3 tend to run into problems on ultra-high graphics settings. You might want to bump down to high quality or medium if you find your rig falling short. If you can afford it, definitely spend an extra hundred bucks on a faster processor and more RAM—this will improve gaming performance significantly.
Features geared toward gamers

For its price, Alienware’s latest $1,300 desktop has a lot of gaming features. It comes with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card, which gives you plenty of power for 4K gaming. The desktop has a liquid-cooling system to keep your processor running at peak performance. It also has three monitor ports and four RAM slots for expansion or upgrades in future years. When you take into account all of those components and other perks—such as its vertical stand design—the Alienware Aurora 2019 is a great buy for gaming enthusiasts.
Design & Aesthetics
The Alienware Aurora 2019 is a true gaming PC for gamers. The front of it is an all-black, almost seamless design that makes it look like a console but without sacrificing customization and upgradeability. The smooth rubberized panels on either side are similar to what we’ve seen from ASUS with their ROG Strix Scar line of laptops. As far as configuration goes, you can choose between two different types of displays—1080p with 144Hz refresh rate or 4K with 60Hz refresh rate. Both are IPS panels made by AU Optronics, so you won’t have any problems viewing them at extreme angles even in a brightly lit room.
