1 Los Llanos
The fauna and flora of Colombia’s Llanos Orientales are among the most diverse in the country. Tourists adore the enchantment of the incredible variety on display. Because there are few roads, there are several options for experiencing this adventure by jeep. Depending on your safari, it takes between 5-7 hours. Although there are several safari destinations, I recommend flying to Yopal, Casanare. Then a 2-hour car ride to San Luis de Palenque, where the “El Encanto Guanapalo” natural reserve can be found.
2 La Guajira
This is the northern region of Colombia where the Wayu people live. Prepare to spend many hours in a jeep to see the best highlights: run down the dunes of Punta Gallinas, be carried away by its sunsets, and learn about a culture that is very different from yours. Kitesurfing is popular in El Cabo de la Vela, which attracts visitors from all over the world. You must first travel to Riohacha, the capital, before proceeding north.
The land of the beautiful city of Colombia is well connected with Copa Airlines Flight Booking so that you can easily book your ticket from your nearby Airport.
3 The Amazon
This is the world’s most vital rainforest. This may not be the place for you if you prefer comfort. There are no five-star hotels, plenty of mosquitos, and the weather is usually humid and wet. The rainforest is worth visiting for at least 5 days. Grab a kayak and explore the flooded jungle, or follow your local guide for a few nights of sleep in the Amazon, surrounded by terrifying noises. It’s a great place to go on an adventure and get out of your comfort zone.
4 Cerros de Mavecure
These hills are made of volcanic rock and are estimated to be 3500 years old. They are also part of the Guiana Shield, the world’s oldest geological formation. The ethnic groups who live there regard the area as sacred. To get to Mavecure’s hills, you must first fly to Inirida and then take a 2-hour boat ride down the Inirida river. It’s best to go between January and April, when the beaches appear due to rising water levels.

5 Dance Salsa
Salsa is one of Colombia’s most well-known dances. It dates back to the mid-twentieth century, when Cuban rhythms made their way to Colombia’s Caribbean coast and then to Cali. The majority of foreigners take salsa lessons in the San Antonio neighbourhood. The Cali feria takes place between December 25th and December 30th. This is the best way to immerse yourself in the salsa culture. If you decide to come, you should make hotel reservations ahead of time.
6 Paraglide in Colombia
Paragliding is available in several locations throughout Colombia. Although each has its own point of view, some are a must-see if you enjoy this type of sport. When paragliding from San Gil, you can see spectacular views of the Chicamocha Canyon. This is the most popular location for this purpose. If you want to see Medelln from the sky, San Felix is only about an hour away.
